Blueberry Protein Shake with a Dairy Free Option
Dhruv SanghviShare
A blueberry protein shake is an easy way to use a berry-flavored powder in a blended drink. This version combines NUFYT Blueberry Bliss with frozen blueberries and a little banana. Start with the liquid amount below, then adjust it to the texture you enjoy.
Use water for a straightforward mix or choose a plant beverage if you prefer it. Check the ingredients of your chosen liquid if you want the whole recipe to stay dairy-free.
Ingredients for one serving
You will need one labelled serving of NUFYT Blueberry Bliss plant protein, 250ml cold water or an unsweetened plant beverage, 50g frozen blueberries and 40g peeled banana. Keep another 50–100ml of liquid ready to adjust the consistency. Ice is optional.
Measure the powder using the serving information on your current pack. Use the same measured quantities when comparing different liquids so you can tell which preparation you prefer.
How to make the shake
1. Pour 250ml of water into a blender jug. Adding water/milk first helps the other ingredients move around the blades.
2. Add the blueberries, banana and measured protein powder. Secure the lid, then blend until the fruit is broken down and the mixture looks even. Follow your blender’s instructions for frozen ingredients.
3. Check the texture. If the shake is too thick, add the reserved liquid a little at a time and blend briefly again. If you want it colder, add a small amount of ice only if your blender is designed to crush it.
4. Pour into a glass and taste before adding anything else. The powder and fruit already contribute flavor and sweetness, so additional sweetening may be unnecessary.
Adjust the texture to suit your glass
For a lighter shake, use the additional liquid gradually. For a thicker drink, begin with the base quantity and let the frozen fruit provide body. If you use fresh berries instead, expect a different texture and adjust after blending.
Avoid adding several extra ingredients immediately. A simple first version helps you decide whether you want more berry flavor, a thinner texture or a different liquid next time.
Make the dairy-free choice deliberately
Use water or a suitable plant beverage and check all ingredient and allergen labels. Adding regular milk or yoghurt changes the dairy-free version of this recipe. Different plant beverages also contribute different nutrition, so do not assume every version has the same protein or energy content.
The fruit and any chosen beverage contribute to the finished drink as well. The protein powder’s serving information is not the complete nutrition information for the recipe.
No blender available
Prepare Blueberry Bliss in a shaker according to its pack directions and eat the fruit separately. Whole frozen berries and banana will not turn into a smooth drink just by shaking them in a bottle.
If the blended version becomes part of your routine, keep measured fruit portions ready in the freezer and prepare the drink when you want it. That keeps the recipe simple and makes it easier to reproduce your preferred texture.
